Anger Management from 2005

I found a journal entry from 4-25-2005 and I wanted to share:

Notes and verses on anger:

Exodus 34: 6 - And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, "The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God slow to anger, abounding in Love and faithfulness

Proverbs 15:1 A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
v.18 - A hot tempered man stirs up dissension, but a patient man calms a quarrel.

Proverbs 29:11 - A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps him-self under control. v22 An angry man stirs up dissension, and a hot tempered one commits many sins.

James 1:19 - My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry. For man's anger does not bring out the righteous life that God desires.

Andrew, being slow to speak, quick to listen and slow to anger will be pleasing to God and will help you live the righteous life that God wishes to see. A hot -tempered man commits sin and stirs up dissension and with his harsh words, stirs up anger. You need to work on this as your walk with God becomes stronger and stronger.

Loving Your Enemies

Love your enemies. How hard is this to do? Lord you ask me to love my enemies. You know this is something I am unable to do without you. Lord give me the strength to love my enemies as I love my-self. Lord show me how to be tender and gentle with them. Put a muzzle over my mouth and help me Holy Spirit to heap burning coals on their head.
